About the event
I love the smell of Christmas Baking. Cinnamon, All Spice, Nutmeg and Ginger and best of all chocolate. Bakjng Chocolate is the most evocative smell and for me it is the smell of Christmas.
It is not surprising that the Chocolate Log or the proper name, Buche Noel, is one of my favourite Christmas treats.
It is the soft as a pillow sponge, the deliciously light cream filling, slathered with a cherry compote and covered with decadent chocolate ganache that makes the mouth water. Once you have made all that glorious deliciousness then it is time to decorate your masterpiece.
This is such a wonderful class. I love the enthusiasm and energy and Christmas spirit that people bring with them to make their cakes.
